Disneyworld, Harry Potter, and Atlanta

We woke up bright and early to drive to Florida...in our new van. I love road trips!

Daniel leading them in some stretches/exercises on the side of a gas station :).

We brought all the food we needed for the drive and found an empty parking lot to heat up our pulled pork for dinner.

We got in late then woke up early (the kids slept in the car so they got enough sleep) and headed to universal's wizarding world of Harry Potter!  This is the Hogsmeade portion.

Eating at the three broomsticks.  We were excited my mom and Gary were able to join us!

Treats from Honeydukes

I liked the frozen butterbeer but no-one else loved it.

Ethan bought a wand that could activate different things throughout the park.

These two are huge Harry Potter fans. The ride inside of Hogwarts was really cool.

Ethan didn't love the rides but he loved the Jurassic Park play and splash area.

I love how Eliza's face goes from excited to terrified in these pictures.  That sounds mean.

Day 2 = Disneyworld!

Ethan and Eliza love Winnie the Pooh!

The only family picture we got

Our airbnb had its own pool and the kids loved it!

Day 3= Another day in the magic kingdom

Ethan loved Tom Sawyer's Island

Wal-Mart clearance shirts I bought last year so the girls could be twinsies

The Enchanted Tales with Belle was cute.  They acted out the Beauty and the Beast story with Belle.  Eliza was the horse Phillipe.

Andrew was Maurice. His job was to stand there and shiver. :)

Hannah was one of the dishes

Ethan learned to dive and does it really well.

A painting break

A beautiful sunset and two cute boys

We headed back one night for the fireworks

Day 4 = Back to Universal to the Diagon Alley portion of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Ethan wasn't too happy until he got to the open play areas.

The fire breathing dragon was awesome

Gringotts

Silly Kiddos

A stop for Little Caesars pizza on the drive to Atlanta.

After the Florida portion of the trip we spent a couple of nights in a hotel so we could have one full day in Atlanta, where Daniel served his mission. Daniel planned an awesome day which began with swimming in the hotel pool.

We then headed to eat a yummy lunch at The Varsity to re-live a mission memory.

We checked out the Olympic rings fountain show and then stayed to play in the water.

We found one of the apartments Daniel stayed in on his mission.

Hiking stone mountain...another fun mission memory, and now a fun family memory.

Ethan or Eliza took this...I forget which one

The kids were awesome hikers
The view from the top

A really fun park at stone mountain. I loved the diversity there.

Andrew found a group of boys to play football with and they played for a couple hours. One thing I love about watching Andrew play sports is he works really hard.  In this group he was one of the biggest but often in the neighborhood and at church he is the youngest and smallest but he works so hard that he makes up for it.

Watching a light show on Stone Mountain

The next morning we went to church in a ward that Daniel served in on his mission and I'm sad we didn't get a picture there.  After church we drove home and I loved all the Fall colors on the drive.

We are grateful for a great trip!
