Fall!

I'm so grateful for Fall! Especially because summer is too hot and humid to be outside all day like I'm used to. We're trying to make up for it by being outside as much as possible.

We went on a preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Eliza's favorite part was jumping into the hay.

I went on a field trip with Hannah to the zoo.

This picture shows that there are many days I don't do Eliza's hair.  She is often just stuck with however it looked when she woke up.

A couple of Andrew's favorite things are playing with friends and playing sports. This isn't a great picture, but it captures how I often see him.

Hannah and her friend making a fairy house. I hope she never grows out of this.

Fun in the leaves.

We had a hot apple cider picnic at the park. The kids get a week (plus a day) Fall break.

Andrew has really gotten a love for reading lately.  I love it, except for when it keeps him up too late at night.

Over Fall break we spent a couple of days in Kansas City with Daniel's cousin and her family.  It was a lot of fun and the kids loved playing with extra cousins (I'll call them that because I forget which is the correct term...second cousins or cousins once removed). Anyway we went to a farm that I love.

Holding a worm

She didn't want to go inside the fence this time.

The pumpkin patch. It was a super hot day (90 degrees) but very windy.

While we were in Kansas City my kids watched the show "kids baking championship" and we all loved it.  I think it influenced Hannah to want to make dinner all by herself one night. She did a great job making teriyaki, rice, and peas.

Daniel runs his marathon on Saturday!! Eliza and I came with him one day and walked while he did laps around the lake.

She got a bad cold and it wiped her out for a day or two.

We went to the lake again while Daniel was running, but this time took all the kids and the bikes.  We took a break from the bikes to explore this beautiful trail.

Andrew ran with Daniel for a while.

Back to the bikes.  I was pulling Eliza in the bike trailer.
The boys playing football with Dad.

A trip to the temple.

Hannah threw up one morning so she stayed home from school, but then she felt fine for the rest of the day. We had fun walking around the pond.

Ethan is really good about doing his homework every night and I love it when Andrew helps him...and sometimes Hannah...and usually Daniel.

Volunteering at Hannah's class pumpkin party

...and Ethans.

Love this!

Andrew was excited to get another babysitting job for four kids, including this cute baby. (He put the word out that he could watch kids at our house with me home to supervise). He does a great job and he loves babies.

Hannah loves babies also!

Our friends the Fassmans have a canoe and invited us out one day.

Our ward trunk or treat

A tired fairy queen (She put together her outfit, I'm not sure the official title of it because it kept changing)

I love it!

Her costume was supposed to be this care bear but she only wore it for a short while early in the day because it was too hot. It has been so warm and beautiful, including on Halloween.

After the care bear she put on this but ended up just being a ballerina.

Spiderman Ethan and his spooky pumpkin.  The panda pumpkin is Hannah's. Andrew had a #12 football, and Eliza had a happy face.

The third year of being Harry Potter. He wanted to be something else this year but couldn't figure anything else out so he stuck with it.

Dorothy

We had fun trick or treating with our friends...I wish I got more pictures.

Hannah loves going to "the meadow" so after school we went for a while.

Volunteering on Ethan's field trip.  This is his friend named Ethan also.
There are some of the happy moments from October.  There were many unhappy moments also but overall it was a good month!
