We Have a Problem

Sometimes my kids get away with things they shouldn't because they are so cute doing it. Let me show you some examples.

Look at this cute girl.

Should she keep one eye open during prayers? No. But... it's pretty cute. (and no...the stove was not on and yes...I know I shouldn't take pictures during prayers either, I was just having her pretend)

Now look at this cute baby.

Should he be allowed to suck his thumb? No. We're trying very hard not to let him start this habit but its hard to fight when it's so cute.

One more example. Take a look.

Should he get treats from the popscicle man when we have free popscicles in the freezer, just because he is so excited that he just learned that such a man as the popscicle man exists? No. But what can you do?

Do you see my point?

Little E's First Fourth

Little E's first fourth started out with breakfast and bike riding at church.
He then headed over to the park where he watched his sibs play on one of the coolest playgrounds ever before being strapped into the bjorn for a nice nap as we hiked down to the water. He dreamed about the day he will be as good at hiking as Mr A- who is awesome!
His day ended with food, fun, and fireworks with neighbors and Daniel's family. He was a very happy baby all day with lots of cooing, smiling, and talking.
We hope everyone else had a happy fourth also!

Everyone loved the water slide!!

It was beautiful out on the canoes!

Where is summer?

Even though it seems summer still hasn't really started because the weather has been so bad, we've still been trying to get out and do summery things.

We picked berries in the rain. It was worth it though, I've never picked raspberries before and they were delicious- much better than from the store. We also picked strawberries. There is a little farm near us that is only open for picking on the weekends but it is cheap and we were the only ones there...maybe because it was raining.

We also went to country village one day and on another day we met Daniel downtown for lunch and then I took the kids to the aquarium and Pike's Place.  Little E sleeps through most of our adventures.

Miss H has been asking to wear "squirt guns" a lot lately. Squirt guns are skirts, or sometimes dresses. Skirt sounds like squirt so there you go.
