April...so far

These first few pictures are from the end of March...Andrew started track and he loves it! He's also been into working out at home.  He does a lot of push-ups and sit-ups and Daniel and Eliza were joining him.

We spent some time at the park on the one semi-nice day of spring break.

On that same day we did our outdoor Easter egg hunt since the forecast for Easter was snow.

Daniel has been wanting to make blankets with the kids for a while so we bought the supplies to work on them during General Conference. We started Hannah's first and she loved making it!

I loved conference! I always love it and this one had some especially good stuff. :)

I love Easter! Besides the most important part of celebrating Christ's resurrection, I also love Easter egg hunts and dying eggs.

We had already done a candy egg hunt and had another one coming up that evening with family but I still wanted to do an inside one Sunday morning.  Instead of candy there was a puzzle piece in each egg and they had to put the puzzle together to know if they found all the eggs.  When the puzzle was done they got lucky charms cereal as their prize.

Eliza was excited to start on her blanket.

The boys with their Easter basket books.  They love mazes and Math.

After conference we drove to Kansas City (through the snow storm) to spend the evening with family. I'm sad I didn't get any good pictures.  The kids love going to Daniel's cousin Rebecca's house and playing with her kids.

The following day we surprised the kids and took them to great wolf lodge because they still had a couple more days of spring break. Can you tell they were excited? We didn't tell them where we were going until we got there.

Checking out the water park

The first day there everyone was excited but also a little grumpy. We had a lot of fun while at the waterpark but down times were a little hard. The next couple of days were much better.

I didn't get any pictures of the big slides. I couldn't believe how much Eliza loves them. Andrew and Hannah did also but Ethan wouldn't go on them.

Hannah is waiting for the big bucket to dump on her.

Back to school! We planted seeds.

We had fun looking for signs of Spring.

Spring finally came yesterday- yay!!! It will be really cold again this weekend but then should warm back up next week.  These last two days have been amazing though.

They love riding down the hill in the dump truck.

It is teddy bear picnic week in preschool.

I'm trying to enjoy this girl the best I can because in only a little over a month my days alone with her will be over. She's excited for Kindergarten though so I'm trying to be excited for her.

March

Missouri's weather is usually consistently inconsistent.  It is all over the place but often there are more good days than bad. March didn't fit the mold.  Instead of a lot of Spring days mixed in it was pretty consistently bad weather. At least they had some fun with the snow on this day.

Yay! My friend Niki had her baby!

We love the Anconetani family.  Andrew, Ethan, and Eliza are great friends with their 3 other kids and now Hannah has claimed baby Ivy (and she helped name her!). Niki is so nice to let Hannah go over to help out.

Hunting for gold for St Patrick's Day

I went with Hannah to a girl scout cabin campout.

I found this big turtle shell!

On our way to parent teacher conferences.  I'm proud of my kids for working so hard at school and I'm so grateful for their teachers.

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

I got to help out at Hannah's class field trip to the Science Center.

Ethan's 7th Birthday Party! He had a nerf gun party but I didn't get any pictures of them all running around.

I couldn't get a picture of all of them so I grabbed who I could.

Ethan got some lego sets from friends for his birthday and now he is obsessed with building lego sets.  I love it!

Andrew is into Monopoly and is often looking for people to play with him.

I can't believe he's 7! I love this little boy so much and I love the joy he brings our family.

Andrew and Hannah both love to babysit

So sweet

My friend sent me this one of Andrew holding her baby at church

Visiting the temple during Easter week

The kids did not start off in the best mood but things got better

Easter week was the first week of the kids spring break and it was cold and wet. The only good thing was I got a lot of chores done at home because we didn't have a lot going on and I didn't have a need to get outside.  I also loved that we had some extra time to spend studying the last week of the Savior's life. This year we matched up the events of each day with an attribute or teaching of the Savior so we could better apply His teachings to our lives.  We talked about gratitude, repentance, God's word, prayer, compassion, forgiveness, faith and hope. I'm so grateful for my Savior and I love celebrating his atonement and resurrection.
