September

Ethan likes rock climbing

A fun day with second cousins...these two only just met the day before but we all had a lot of fun together. Daniel has a treasure trove of second cousins for our kids. :) We keep meeting new ones and we've loved them all. And funny story...their dad is the one who is Daniel's cousin but their mom turned out to be a from the Bingham line and is my third cousin!

Daniel is a temporary leader for Ethan's scout group which Ethan loves. Here they are making ice cream.

The girls decorated all their bags with pom poms that they had made.

My kids usually don't want to do puzzles but when I force them to they have fun.

Happy 13th Birthday Andrew! I'm so grateful for the wonderful kid he is. (I'm still not ready to use the word teenager)

He tried out cross country this year and loves it.

I failed at getting a good cake pic

I love this guy!

Having fun on the dirt hill with Miranda while we checked on the progress of their swimming pool.

Daniel taught him about computer parts at scouts and they took apart old computers. He loved it!

Another dog sitting job for Hannah...they all love taking care of Duke!

Ethan is currently obsessed with star wars.

Hannah braided Eliza's hair for the first time and it turned out really cute! Headed off to piano lessons...

The boys went to a father-son campout so the girls camped out in a fort they made in the living room.

Daniel and Ethan helping out at Andrew's football game. Although Andrew loves football its been a difficult season. His team didn't have enough players so they had to join the older team (which also didn't have enough players). He's also had to play quarterback all season and he really misses mixing it up with playing wide receiver like he did last year.

A giant mango slice

The boys playing a game they made up that involves the stairs and lots of pillows and pads, and I think balls.

Math

Ethan found another thing to love through Daniel's scout lessons- circuits.

He loves the circuit toy so much that he brought it down to preschool to demonstrate it for the kids.

Hannah made a fun obstacle course.

Andrew and friends after a cross country meet.

This is the day before general conference but they were so excited that they asked if they could find an old session to turn on for a practice run :) We love conference for the special toys we bring out and the treats we have, but also because we know how special and important it is to listen to a prophet and we love the peaceful spirit that comes as we listen.

Daniel and his brother in law and cousin all ran/hiked the grand canyon from rim (South) to rim (North) to rim (back to South) in less than 20 hours! He trained hard and I'm so proud of him!

So beautiful!

They made it!

Taking a little nap after the last session of Saturday's conference (technically he fell asleep before it ended...but he only slept through the last few minutes :)... he played a football game in between sessions and he was pooped)

Hannah and I locked ourselves in my bedroom to watch women's conference together.

Fall finally came!

PE- skating/scootering around the pond

...and taking breaks to look for frogs in the water

The girls took down their bunk beds and put them side by side. I also took this picture because I love that they sometimes do "service club" together and make everyone's bed and usually leave a note or picture. I have to capture these moments because these memories are what help me through all the moments when my children are not at all being kind and selfless.

Andrew reminded me how to play monopoly deal and now I love it.

Andrew and friends after their final cross country meet.  The boy on the left got first place out of around 215 kids every single week!
