March 2020

The kids had fun adding some captions for these. I left their captions, spelling mistakes and all, in parenthesis.
(fun game of zooreka)
The first few pictures are from before the corona virus craziness that hit here mid-March.

(Andrew is having a fun time playing basketball)
Andrew played on the church basketball team this year and had a lot of fun, even though it was a very short season with only 2 games.

(Eliza is having a blast lisning to musik)
I would have said...Eliza is looking too grown up in this picture, but I like her caption also.

I miss my preschool kiddos so much!

A kite-flying homeschool field trip.  I feel a little sad that we didn't get to finish out our homeschool year the way I'd planned. I was excited to do some springtime field trips but none of those options are available now.  I am grateful we were already knowing what we were doing for the most part though.

Eliza loves looking through the picture books, especially from when she was a baby.

(here are some pics of our trip)
We left on our spring break trip to go skiing in Utah right when everything was starting to change. Each day we were gone more and more things were closing down and unfortunately we didn't get to go skiing, but it was still a great trip.

We didn't stop a lot on this drive, but occasionally some of us needed to get out an stretch.

This picture is to show my wonderful husband, who did all the driving, and also the snowy weather we went through. Fortunately, the drive there was the end of the winter weather.

Along with the snow we hit a really bad ice storm and even though we'd planned on driving through the night instead of getting a hotel, we had to end up stopping for the night. We felt blessed that after being in the middle of nowhere, we were right by the perfect hotel when the ice storm hit.

Taking a quick rest at a beautiful rest area.

(the boys fell asleap on eachother during the ride)

(we got stuck in a masive trafic jam so we made dinner in the car)
We brought our own food and cooking supplies so we didn't have to stop at restaurants, but this meal we made in the middle of the freeway after being stopped for three hours due to an over-turned semi.

(we finally arived the kids loved there ants house)
It was actually their first cousin, once removed's house- Daniel's cousin, who was such a great host to us.

(hike with cousins)

This hill was so steep! The boys made it most of the way to the top and then went back the next day and made it all the way to the top.

We loved spending time with family!

(hannah loved sewing with her ant)
Daniel's cousin Lorna teaches sewing classes to girls and was so nice to give Hannah a few lessons while we were there.

Hannah loved it!

(hike to the top of the hill)

(another hike with freinds its so butiful up here)
We also got to spend a little time with some good friends while we were in town.

(Ethan still loves climbing)

(icecream time)

(hannah loves dogs)

St Patricks day! We were not planning on going to Las Vegas on this trip, but since the ski plans cancelled we decided to go visit my sister and her family for a few days. We missed the earthquake that they had in Utah the morning after we left.

We stopped in St George- I love the red rock!

(a fun trip to pianear park)
I love my family and our adventures together!

(we arive in vegas and hannah loves there baby cousin)

(Eliza and her cousin are having fun climbing a mountain.)
I have a picture from a few years ago of these two at red rocks, they've gotten so big since then!

They were all amazing hikers/climbers.

(we had a lot of fun at red rocks)

Our trip wasn't too long, but it was still wonderful. We headed back home and began quarentine.

(# quarantine)

He does really well with online school, but he really misses his friends.

(the kids are having online piano lessons but its time to get to work with home school)
Their wonderful piano teacher is continuing to teach them over zoom.

(Dad helps Ellie with her Math)

On a walk to find the stuffed animals that neighbors put in their windows.  I love how creative people are.

I actually really love this time that is so free from distractions. I especially love that it came right as Spring began.

(hannah and daniel make a cute art orginizer)

A giant game of hopscotch.  I feel really blessed for the cul-de-sac we live in.

(the kids are having fun outside to)
For the first few weeks of quarantine they played a lot of wall ball against the garage door.

(birthday time)
Happy 9th birthday to my sweet Ethan!

(ethan loved his new presents)

She had a terrible cough for a long time and it was getting worse and making her wake up not being able to breathe well in the middle of the night, so we brought her in to get checked out.

Hannah sewed this skirt.

Making play-dough

(birthday cake)

Hannah also made this pillow case.

Andrew set up a target to try to hit with his football in the basement and accidentally broke a small inner window while playing. Luckily we had some material and he was able to replace it.

(storms acoming)

(drive by birthday party)
It was actually a mission reunion and we drove by with a bunch of other families (above picture) to say "welcome home!"

(longest hopscotch ever)

(retreving a ball from the gutter the kids wanted to come too)

Her tooth just came out in that pear she's holding.

(a fun car ride)...and a cute missing tooth smile

We were driving through lone elk park to see the animals.

Fixing the brakes

(bread time)
We couldn't get bread from the store for a while so we made a bunch of batches.

(down to1 can we survive)
We had to make 3/4 of a jug last for 5 days but we made it!

(a fun way to earn some money)
