Family Fun Day and Some Febuary Pics

Our first family fun day was overall a success.  The biggest problem was probably that the name of it set unrealistic expectations :).  When we were planning what we wanted to do I mentioned that we should do things that were important to our family and have fun doing them together.  So we didn't just spend the whole day doing "fun" things.  We did some spring cleaning, service, went to the temple, and I had a family history project I wanted to do.  I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.
I thought it should look a little festive so I set the table the night before

These are the sibling love collages

Daddy made biscuits for breakfast- a multi generational martin family tradition

Spring cleaning- this was actually one of my favorite parts of the day.  We tried to make it fun by taking turns picking music to listen to, taking breaks to go to the snack table, and spending a few dollars on fun cleaning supplies from the dollar store made the kids super excited.  They were all happy and did a good job...amazing!

Andrew was super excited to clean toilets but when he was done he said it wasn't as exciting as he thought it would be :)

Eliza was a good helper :)
I don't have pictures of the next couple of things but we drove to the temple and then we wanted to go through a drive thru for lunch so we could pay for the people behind us, which we did at McDonalds.
When we got home I thought it would be fun to work on a family history scrapbook.  Hannah was the only one on board.  That is when the other kids decided we needed to do something more "fun" because it was family fun day.  Hannah and I worked on the scrapbook while Eliza napped and the boys had fun playing together.  They played tag, jumped on the trampoline, and had nerf gun wars.

We went swimming and then we came home, ordered pizza, and watched the boxcar children on Netflix.  It was a fun day!
Superbowl...sad but fun

The boys have been having so much fun together on the trampoline lately.  I took this though the kitchen window- it looks like it's raining but it is really just a dirty window

Tasting snow

This is the first snow since before Thanksgiving.  Neither one was very big. These boys are our neighbors- they are very sweet 10 year old twins who Andrew is good friends with, but they play well with all the kids.

The weather here is crazy.  Two days after the snow it was 70 degrees.  The kids wanted to go running with dad.
