The Drive from St Louis to Seattle and Stops in Utah

 

 

And we're off...The kids had fun with a scavenger hunt on the first day of driving.

Kansas

Colorado.  Ethan loves climbing.  I think this was right as we started into the rockies.  We pulled off the road and took a little break to do some climbing.

It was 100 degrees but lots of fun.

We stopped to make lunch after we left the park.  We brought a little campstove and made a few meals with it.  We got caught in a mini dust storm here.

We had so much fun at Daniel's cousin Zeb's house with Zeb's family.

Daniel spent many childhood years with Steve and Zeb. It was great to see them.

 

Gross. She painted herself with peanut butter.  And I was so impressed that she was keeping herself so quietly entertained...

hmmm...I'm sure we took this to represent some state. I guess Oregon?

A picnic dinner in Oregon.  It was hot and there were lots of bugs, red ants trying to get our food among other things, but that's how memories are made...right? It was also beautiful and a fun break from the car.

We stayed at Daniel's brother David's house in Yelm. It was so nice to see them!
