May

I miss doing preschool but I'm excited to start up again in August! I love this time when they first get there each day and are engaged in a fine motor or learning activity.

The boys made up a game called droids and drones that they like playing together.

My cute group I chaperoned for Ethan's field trip.  I know Riley from our old ward at church so it was fun having the two of them.

I thought this was a sweet pic of Ethan helping her get down.

We used the wood from the tree that got hit by lightning to make a log walk. She must have been riding her bike before this because we don't require them to wear helmets to walk on the logs :).

The Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood exhibit at the magic house (children's museum)

We had a Cinco de Mayo party with friends from church.

Andrew is on the right running with the football.  Flag football is over for the season but he had a blast.

Hannah and Eliza and cute neighbors/friends taking the baby dolls on a walk to the park.

Getting rid of the stump, which resulted in a destroyed front yard :(. We can't plant the new grass until the fall so we're just dealing with it for now.

Preschool field trip to feed the ducks at the pond.

We went back later that evening with Ethan and Hannah because the baby ducks were so cute and we knew they would love them.

I love this measuring/constructing activity they were doing.

yikes :)

Sweet brother helping her balance.  Daniel built this around the tree to hold all the dirt that was full of wood chips that no-one wants (because of the wood chips), and we didn't know what else to do with. I'm grateful for how much work he has put into the yard.

Hannah's birthday party round 1.  She missed a birthday party of a good friend while we were in las vegas (and she was so excited to go because she misses most parties due to the fact that they are held on Sundays, but this one was actually on a friday) so we came up with an idea to do a small early birthday party with some friends from school (and neighbors) before school got out. They had just found some color journals and treats on a treasure hunt in this picture.

It was pretty low key.  Pizza, the treasure hunt, a cookie cake, and playing outside.

Andrew loved going over the dirt bumps and dips on his bike

School's out! We started the summer with a grand plan to have each kid be in charge of making one breakfast and one lunch per week.  Ethan made everyone scrambled eggs.  After going on a couple of short vacations and having other things going on (scout camp, swim team, etc...) we have gotten out of doing this but it was good for the short amount of time it lasted.

Andrew helping Ethan climb up Jack's beanstalk at the Magic House.

We had a long stretch of bad/expensive things happening one after the other. Of course this flat wasn't fixable so we had to buy a new tire. May was a hard month.

This kid has gone through quite a few books so far this summer.  Any good book recommendations? He is just finishing the second Percy Jackson series.

Fun day with good friends

I got a new tree for my birthday :)

A week-end in Nauvoo.  We stayed in a house that had a horse which the kids loved! He got a lot of apples and carrots that weekend.

The biggest dandelion I've ever seen

These two have been great friends this summer...well until recently. Hopefully it will resume.
