Back to School, August and September

The kids competed in the all-county swim meet which was fun to watch.

Last day of summer break

Meet the teacher night.  I can't believe this little girl is in Kindergarten!

...and this kid is in middle school.  He had 2 first days because they had a half day transition day for 6th graders.

They are all loving school :)

I had a little emotional breakdown in the morning but I held it together for the most part

I started my new preschool year and I love hanging out with these cute kiddos!

Andrew started tackle football. He loves it!

visiting Eliza at lunch

Eliza had some friends over and I love that they were playing preschool :)

Daniel's parents bought a motor home which we've been grateful to be able to use.  We went on a quick trip one weekend to the Lake of the Ozarks.

Andrew loves this game- its called Kuub I think.

Eliza is in floaties here but she has since learned to swim!

We love playing board games on Sundays

The girls delivered treats to the neighbors

He finally lost his first tooth!

Grandpa came to visit- yay!

The kids each got to spend a day at home with grandpa and the girls each picked a preschool day so they could also help with preschool.

Happy 12th birthday Andrew! He is such an amazing kid.  I'm so grateful for his hard work and love for life.  We are so grateful for him!

oops...we didn't have any candles for the yummy triple layer cake Daniel made

Hannah, Eliza, and Hannah's friends did a little fashion show and put nametags on the chairs so we could watch.  I thought it was cute that for the grandpas she labeled them mom's side grandpa and dad's side grandpa :).

A very special day with the grandpa's and the bishop there also...Andrew received the priesthood.

Hannah's turn to help at preschool- she was a huge help!

She planned the art project herself

Making applesauce with grandma Sue's applesauce masher

I just told them they are going to have another baby cousin- they are so excited that there will be 2 new baby cousins at next year's cousin camp!

Making dessert with grandpa

Its fun to watch Andrew play, although it does make me a little nervous

He wanted to make s'mores rice krispies when it was his turn for family home evening dessert.
Hannah loves playing Harry Potter clue

A fun day at the zoo with friends

He had an awesome game!

The neighbor shared birthday cake and ice cream with us one night

Hopper

Notice the crutches...he didn't get hurt playing football but he hurt his foot playing a game on the trampoline with a friend.  Hes ok but has to take it easy while it heals.

Fun with friends

She caught a toad

The Fall flowers at the temple were so beautiful!

We found turtles on the trail at the park

And these last few are from today so that wraps up the last few months of happy moments. There have definitely been plenty of hard moments mixed in but I'm especially grateful for the happy ones!
